Our first means against piracy, introduced on the very first boxes of medicines, is the Online Product Verification System – UPIC. Each product of the company has a unique individual identification code. Authenticity of the product can be checked on the UPIC site. Based on this code, the customer can find product information, such as name, batch number, production date and term of validity of the product.

By entering your drug code in the online form on the UPIC website, one can learn about how many times the page was accessed. This detail can be considered as an index of product authenticity. Since each box has a unique number, the codes checked too often are identified as suspicious by the system. Too many checks on a product indicate that the product is counterfeit.
